Schaefer Family Christmas 2009


The Mark Schaefer Jr. family celebrated Christmas 2009 at Gallery 510 Fine Art in the historic Oregon District. The gallery is owned by sisters Loretta Schaefer Puncer and Rosemary Schaefer Baumann. It is located at 510 East Fifth Street in downtown Dayton not far from the Focke family homestead and the locations of the old family markets.

The evening began at 4pm with appetizers and drinks in the large gallery where the Christmas exchange took place. Rosemary set the table in the small gallery for a beautiful candlelight dinner that was attended by 28 family members and friends.

Mark Schaefer Jr. could not attend but his six children and their families were present. Those in attendance included: Loretta Schaefer Puncer - her husband Bill and children Nicholas (21- a senior at University of Cincinnati) and Claire (20- a sophomore at Ohio University); Teresa Schaefer Hucke - her children Mariann (18- a freshman at University of Cincinnati) and Marie - (16- a junior at Centerville H.S,); Carolyn Schaefer Dodok and her husband Jim; Christopher Schaefer - his wife Pamela and children Emma (8- a 3rd grader at Holy Angels) and Grace (5- Kindergartener at Holy Angels); Rosemary Schaefer Baumann - her children Katie (21- a junior at Indiana University) and Max (19- a sophomore at University of Cincinnati) her friend Gene Cooke with his father Gene and son Gino; Marie Schaefer Webb and her partner Ned Grubemeyer and dog Macie; Mariann Link Schaefer Paton and her husband Bill Paton and long time family friends Rosanne Behrman and Sarah Knopf.

Mark Schaefer Jr. is now living in an assisted living apartment at Elmcroft of Washington Township.

The Mark Schaefer Jr. family wishes our extended family a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

The Schaefer family connection to the Focke family is Mark Schaefer Jr. is the son of Agnes Focke Schaefer.
